Free Agency/LT Arb Negotiations Topic

The negotiation process seems a bit off to me. Players are too stubborn, especially in arb. For example, if a guy is asking for 2.4M for two years, it shouldn't be a ridiculous concept to offer him a 3.9/2.3/2.6 three year deal, and yet that seems to NEVER work. This holds especially true in players that are not very good, or are not as good as they used to be. I also think it is silly that a guy asking for two years at 2.4M/yr would laugh at a 3 year 2.4M/yr with a club option for the last year.

Anyone else feel this is slightly less than realistic?

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but hell, it is frustrating.

Keep those two words in mind and you'll see that nothing regarding salary demands in HBD is unrealistic.
