Could i play a 83 range, 100 glove, 71 arm strength, 73 arm accuracy player at SS and not suffer too much?

Yes, he will be fine. He will make ome throwing errors, but that would be compensated for by his glove.

I wouldn't do it. He's a gold glove 2B/3B and a sub-par SS. SS gets the most opportunities of any fielder. His negative plays will also be high.

Mike is right. I would not do it either unless I had nobody better, but I was attempting to answer your question directly. I have seen competitive teams play weaker defensive guys there and be competitive. They are usually the teams that knock the cover off of the ball and win by out-slugging you. But, it would not be detrimental to play him there.

I think he would be a waste at 3rd and right unless you have a team full of GG's.

The guy would be a monster at 2B, the second most important position on the diamond. Just stick him there and he'll likely win a Gold Glove every year. He'd be great in CF too.

I think he'd be fine. Clearly he'd be amazing at 2b and really good at 3b or CF but I think he'd end up being a solid SS. Obviously depends what you have for options.

If you do play him there, I'd love to see his stats after a full season

He would not be fine. His weak, inaccurate arm would cause many errors and minus plays. He would be a gold glove 2B (2nd most important position) so why make him a crappy SS when he can be a GG winner on the other side of the diamond?
