If taking over a team, do you get punished for rescinding a scholarship of a player drafted by the previous coach? Thanks for any help

no (as long as it is just 1 or 2), but you do not get any extra money for that scholarship for recruiting.  also, occaisionally, if you cut one player, a different player will get mad and quit as well.  i have only seen/heard it happening a few rare times, but it is a chance.

I cut two players my first year at New Paltz and my reputation dropped to an A, but otherwise no harm done.
