When MikeT23 was a kid, the whole school called him 4 eyes.

Then he got glasses, and they started calling him 8 eyes.

MikeT thinks the difference between 15-5 and 5-15 is 5 games.

He swears this is right but won't explain himself "thoroughly"

Yep.  If I'm going to be 10-10, I'll be 15-5 if I win five extra games or 5-15 if I lose 5 more games.   The difference between 15 and 5 is, wait for it, 10.   Holding back players to game the system can result in a 10 game swing in your record.   Feel free to do it, I'll take the wins.
So if I don't hold the guys back I go 10-10, or is it 15-5?  And if I do hold them back I'm pretty sure you think I go 5-15 in your hypothetical.

What's the status quo if I don't hold back my guys?  10-10 or 15-5?  If it's 10-10 and I lose 5 more games I'm 5-15, but where does the 15-5 come in?

The difference between 15-5 and 5-15 is 10 decisions, not 5.  You may not be a loser (although the jury is still out) but you've pretty clearly shown you're not very good at math or logic reasoning.

Yeah, it really does.   The difference between 5-15 and 15-5 is five decisions.  If you don't think a couple of players can cost you 5 decisions, I don't know what game you're playing.

You do realize that the game isn't set up to make sure you win/lose 5 games over 162, right?  Those five games can come be grouped.    Especially since, you know, you play 3-4 games series

So if you go 5-15 in a 20-game stretch, and you could change any five of those games from a loss to a win or vice versa, what is your best possible record in that stretch?

5 decisions is a 10 game swing in your record.  I can't make it any clearer.
Nope.

Best possible is 10-10, worst possible is 0-20.   Five decisions reversed.

I'm quoting both posts so we're clear what the example is...

To make your hypothetical 5-15 team have an 0-20 record you take the only 5 wins and switch them to losses, but then to make them 10-10 you take 5 different games (which were originally among the 15 losses) and switch them to wins.  You are manipulating 10 different decisions in your example.  This is the flaw in your logic.

It's not 5 decisions, it's 10.

Please tell me you understand now.

The thing that sucks about the new forum is we dont get blinded by Mike T23s 120somethingthousand posts.  Now he just looks like a regular poster here... well besides his weird way of thinking 5 is 10???  :)
