For me there are two major surprises here... one of them was Chuck going #2.  He's a top 5 guy in a $42M cap league, imo, but not in a $52M.  There are good $52M seasons of his, but I don't believe a single one of them are worthy of even a top 10 selection.  I'm not just saying that because I'm mad I didn't get to draft him.  I think his best seasons are too low of defense to warrant the high draft choice.  However, you can't get a much better rebounder at the 3 spot - ESPECIALLY on the offensive boards.

McGrady was the other shocker to me.  Again, the guy is a $42M staple, but his best seasons are kind of sub-par defensively to be drafted in the 1st round of the higher capped league (not to mention his efg%).  Still, he's a force and will win some games by himself.

(of course, when the new rosters come out, assuming they do before the draft is finished, we may be really surprised at how some of these guys change, so take everything I say with an even larger grain of salt than you would normally).

ps - don't take my guy next 3 people!

cp3 is (imo) the second best PG in a $52M league.  Magic, in my mind, is first.  His rebounds & ftas > cp3's lack of turnovers to me.  Oscar's up there, as well, but you end up with surplus minutes if you're not extremely careful.  Of course, that doesn't always mean anything, as long as it's not a ridiculous waste of money.  After that there's a big dropoff, imo.

yea i had a tough time deciding between oscar and artis....he does so many things for you with the first pick...really helps you out later in the draft...but ive been wanting to use gilmores 72-73 season for awhile and hes alot easier to build around in 52 mil then 42

sorry leibo... this weekend one of my best friends got put in the hospital after a whole bunch of dumb work-related crap.  I'm not sure when or IF I'll be able to put time into this.  My draft has suffered greatly because of it.
