i appreciate the sentiment, but this would be bad for HD as a whole

agree - bad idea - if all worlds started on the same day, i would definately drop to one team

very bad idea. If you miss the chance to join a world, you are out of luck as you can't just wait a few days to jump into the other one. Plus, I don't mind being in multiple worlds. I pay more attention to iba (in CT) then wooden (in non conf)  if both these teams were in the CT at the same time/recruiting, it'd be hard to balance my time for both.

Worst idea ever.

where's the thumbs down emoticon when you need it. The worst idea since New Coke

I believe you'll find 99% of coaches will feel otherwise.   Previously Smith and Iba were one week apart.  Smith was delayed several days due to the new engine and now is one day ahead of Iba.    I'm dreading recruiting those teams so close together.  There's no way I could do more than that

Would get reeaallllyyyy boring in 2-a-day worlds waiting for the 1-a-days to end.

A much better solution is to apply software engineering to allow different worlds to use different engines.

As a matter of fact, they have already done so.  Engine changes are typically rolled out on a season by season basis per world.  The recent updates saw some exceptions to this rule because WIS thought the flaws in the engine were serious enough to warrant an in-season change.

hanbill has the right idea.. i could go fo that.

as for the original idea... im not going to say its the dumbest idea ever,  but its definitely in the top5.
and i only have 1 team.

but i love the idea of different engines for different worlds.  i would even like to see each world deelop an engine that gives each world a unique personality.  for multi-world guys, i would think it would be even more fun,  and for single world guys , i think  that it would reduce the advantage that multi-team guys gain  thruugh trial nd erroer.

does that make any sense?  or am i now in the running for  wost idea ever?

wow, OD, that could really be something.

it might be something awful, but it might also be something great. what are ways in which you'd have the worlds differ? I'm thinking along the terms of, potentially, a semi-cyclical running of edges for specific O and D, which essentially exists already, but it would be cool if the timing were off for each world based on recruiting results, what's worked where, etc. It would be interesting to watch Billy G, OR, and LM climb to the top in each world using different methods. :)
