Low Potential - 1 Rating? Topic

If a recruit has a 1 rating in a category, say BH, and it is also low potential, what happens if you take practice hours down to 0 in BH, does skill drop to 0 or will it stay at 1?

It won't matter - 0 and 1 are going to play the same in the engine, so you shouldn't worry about not practicing.  Actually, you should be at 0 min until everywhere else is maxed..

But I've never seen a 0, so I'd assume he stays at 1.

I'm interested in what happens with all the 1 rating high potential players that seem to be in this new engine. I know past thought has usually been a rating that low won't really improve, but now I am seeing a lot more players with 1 in an areal like BH with high potential.

Maybe those guys existed and I just never saw, but now I feel like there are a ton of them. I wonder what kind of improvement we should expect in an area like that.

mjp, guys with really low starting ratings have been able to improve them normally ever since the advent of potential. You're right in the fact that in the brand new engine there are more guys with really low ratings that have high potential. Those ratings will have the same growth as any other comparable high potential situation (i.e. 20+ pts, depending on just how high the potential is).
