Can an "F" free throw shooter get any worse?? He hasn't gotten any better in over a year of plus (10-20 minutes) FT practice time. Should I even bother having him practice free throws?!?

here is a SR SG in DIII that has been F since day one.  i have put little to no practice in him the last 1 1/2 seasons (after trying his FR year and part of SO year).

In the words of my old Poli Sci professor from college, yes.  There's an F-60, an F-50, an F-40... all the way down to an F-0.

But personally, unless he's coming up as having high potential, I'd give up on his FT practice.

I have a couple of stiffs that shoot around 55% - are there any players that shoot lower than 50%?

Thanks for the responses. I've eliminated his free throw practice time. It appears he won't get any worse...or better.

Comes back from the off-season for his Senior year, and lo and behold his free throwshooting has come up from an F to a D-.!!

Starting PF .476
Backup C .462
Backup SF .438
Starting C .375

and none of them were that bad when I recruited them. They were all D+ to C (60% to 70%) except my starting PF who was a D-.
