Yes, its another NT Seeding rant.  I figured theres talk about it being fixed or on the way to be fixed either way, it should be looked at.  How does a 38 rpi and 20 sos from the the 2nd Best RPI conference the ACC equal a 14 seed?  While teams with 44 rpi's and 85+ sos teams with 20 wins (who did not win their garbage mid major conferences) still get higher seeds.  I think too much emphasis is still on win total.. Who cares if you've played no one and beaten them.

I get your point but there's also the argument that who cares how tough your schedule is if you didn't beat anybody.

Yeah, you only beat 1 team above top 75 RPI and that was near the end of the season. Your second best win? Vrs a team who will end the season with double digit losses while you were at home. I didn't look, but just guessing off RPI etc you only beat 1 NT team and lost to the rest. You are in the NT only because of the inflated RPI by losing to decent teams. I wouldn't see a problem if you didn't make it. You have no resume. Be thankful you got the seed you got.

I can't locate the information in the new engine, but there were several categories to be considered for seeding in the old engine. Some, I recall were  Non-conference RPI,  record vs. top 50 RPI,  RPI 50-100, RPI 200+,  road record, and last 10 games.   It isn't just your RPI and SOS.

RPI of 33, SOS of 27, 2-3 Ranked, 21-7
Beat: #3 RPI, @#41, #7, #23, @#35, #47, #66 and @#99
Losses to #8, @#51, #44, @#5, #47, #32, #66
9 - 1 last ten. . .where would you seed?
