Maryland Naismith - the team doesnt want to go

We lose in the finals of the ACC tourney to ranked Duke....down by 3 points with 24 seconds left....

In the second round of the ACC tourney we beat #1 ranked UVa

We finish with an RPI of 45 at 17-13...could have been better....a couple more wins and we are in, but its a young team....

and yes we didnt beat that many other good teams......but RPI of 45....signature win....ACC finals.....and the reward - a #1 seed in the PIT....

I wish we had that option like in real life. I am not a fan of the armPIT especially in situations like yours.

No way.  I want my share of the 5K you just earned us.  You are going.

Denver is the one I would leave out, but did anyone lose to a rpi 200+ team?

13 losses IS a lot though.

Meanwhile, I snuck into the PIT with a 93 RPI...

I'm mostly just mimicking what goes on in the media after Selection Sunday....

for what its worth... i think the terps oughta be dancing.

but, its one of those deals where i can see both sides and it could go either way.

however, as much as i respect 343,  i have never liked it when folks say they dont want to play in the PIT.    i can see that it is disapointing to barely miss out on the big dance,  but the PIT is a chance to make more money for your conference, a chance to win more games, and a chance to prove the selection committee wrong.  i just dont see the downside.

but, on the other hand, i guess "to each his own" and if someone doesnt want to be in the PIT, i guess i would not stand in the way of a rule that allowed that.  plus im guessing there is some 97ish  rpi team somewhere that would love to be in the PIT.
