Minor League coaching payoff Topic

I have one solid ML pitching prospect  (Tom Messmer ) on my Hi-A farm team about a third of the way through the season.  I'd like him to be in the majors the year after next.  My question is this: my best minor league pitching coach is in Hi-A (they all have 75-76 ratings, but this coach has the highest patience and discipline ratings by far.)  Am I better off leaving the kid in Hi-A to take advantage of a good coach, or would he benefit more from spending the second half of the year in AA, with a less disciplined coach?  (I have yet to figure out how meaningful these ratings are.)

if the coaches have similar pitching ratings, i'd move him up through the system a little bit, particularly if his patience is low.

I have found most coach ratings to be of minimal significance (unless extremely high or low). You can probably gain more by getting a promotion boost up to AA mid-season than by leaving him with a slightly better coach at a lower level all year.

There is no way to move a coach up during the season, id there?
