Bat Vs. glove in CF? Topic

If your world is like mine and I'm sure it is there are very few true CF's with a stick. That being said which do you think would be a better option: Player 1 who has 85+ range and 85+ glove with 60/60 splits, minimal power and 50 something eye & contact or Player 2 who is low 80's range and high 70's glove (or vice versa) with a bat. 70+ splits, 70+ power with 70+ contact/eye. For argument sake both players have good speed. If the choice is to go with palyer 2 what is the minimum range and glove numbers you play in center? I have a couple SS guys in my minors who are short of true CF defensive skills but have much better bats than the CF's on my team or who were in the FA pool.

Why don't you play player 1 in CF and player 2 in LF or RF, that way your outfield has rock solid range and you get that bat in the line up.  I like to have my CF with at least 80 range, the higher the better, and a solid glove.  I do understand the delimma of a great CF with all of the great ratings.  I don't have one in my organization either.

Getting back to your orginal questions, I would take player 1.  Defense first at that position.  Below is the CF I used for my one team, he is awesome for range and glove, but the bat isn't great.

Its also usually easy to find a SS who just doesnt make the cut glove wise but can hit and put him in CF.  A guy likYamid Bennet comes to mind.  Although I would like to get more range out of my CF.   Ralph Richard is probably a better example since he isnt a 90 overall.
