How important is pitch calling? i like Catcher 2 (C2) because he can hit, but his pitch calling is horrible compared to C1 who sucks at hitting. Is the difference in pitch calling so great that C2's hitting doesn't make up for it? C2 was my major league catcher but as an experiment I demoting him 2 AAA and promoted C3 and I am now starting C1 for defnese and pitch calling over hitting. what do you suggest?

I'd start C1. I wouldn't plan to use C2 as a Catcher.

I'd like to know batting eye ratings.  If I have a great defensive catcher with a weak bat I may still start him if he has a great batting eye.  I will stick him at the bottom of the lineup where he will get walks and end up scoring some runs when the top of the order comes up.   However, I tend to put more emphasis on having catchers with great defense and pitch calling than most people.  I like low ERAs and I love shutting down teams that are base stealing crazy (which is most teams).

I don't think C2's bat is strong enough to make up for his inaccurate arm and lack of intellect.   I'd use C1 against lefties, C3 against righties and find a sucker for C2.

C1 batting eye is 77/84 projected, C2 eye is 77/88

If C2 had higher splits and power I could justfy using him at catcher despite the low PC.  However, given that C1 does have a really good batting eye, I would start him in the 9 hole, let him score some runs, plus even if he's facing a right handed SP, he will still see lot of left handed RPs late in the game and should hit really well against them. 

However, all that being said C3 might be your best option if he has a batting eye 60 or higher.
