I think the C is a stud and a much better D3 player, but I could use another backup bigman considering I'm currently running with 3. And with reb and blk already in the 90s, how much more can he grow? Which guy would you RS?

How are the staminas of your other big men, what offense, and what sort of pace?

Offense is motion, defense is man to man. Stamina of the other 3 are 70, 69, 77. Given my limited experience, I'm guessing that won't be enough to run a whole game w/o hitting fatigue? Maybe I can run a small lineup for a quarter or so, and get away with it? Here is the team:

u have to play the center.......u need him as your backup center.......way more valuable then playing three point guards...its a slam dunk ..........put it in the books.

Yup.  YOu need him for depth, don't think you can get away with a three big rotation with those staminas. I still probably woudl avoid uptempo.  MAYBE Pig could also fill in some minutes at big, but. ..

Hmm, maybe I should have tried to pulldown a big so I can RS this guy, rather than pulling down a SG. Guess it's too late now and my hands are tied.

Btw, am I evaluating talent correctly by signing these players for motion offense, man to man defense?
7/30/2010 10:42 PM
SOrt of.  YOu are going to have some trouble bringing that one in BH and passing up despite the potential, at least at first.  Going to be slow to start moving off of that 1.

I think I waited too long to sign my other 2 spots as I was defending the C into signing. I got a little paranoid as a coach jumped onto my stud PG in Tarkanian, and I was low on cash to defend. Ended up losing him and a solid SF and forced to take on 2 walkons.

For motion offense, what kind of stats are you looking for? I read the compendium of HD offense but it is a little outdated.

FOr me, I would think just recruit as normal save try to make sure you keep at least average to good passing numbers for each position all around.  POsibly try to concentrate on having at least some ability on LP and PER spread across the lineup rather than really good concentrated in a few players/

That C may not be the best in your offense but keep his distro a bit low and he's a beast in any scheme.  A rebounder and shot blocker like that is going to dominate in D3.  I would definitely redshirt the guard.  Obviously you need the C anyway, so that makes it a pretty easy call.  Either way I'd RS the G because the C, while he obviously needs substantial work in BH and passing, is a useful player right now.  Those 1s are barely gonna move without playing time anyway.  The guard really isn't a very useful D3 player until some of those high potential areas start to grow.  He's frankly not very good as he is right now.

That doesn't look like a guy I'd probably waste the effort on.  You might be able to find a better player among the D3 recruits.  Good chance that guy maxes out with around 45-50 ath, 60 speed, 45-50 defense, 65 per, 55 BH, 55 passing - that's just an ok player, not great in any way.
