1999, 2000, 2001 Prog. Franchise Twist - FULL Topic

69-10 Progressive Franchise Twist

Seasons: 1999-2001

1.) Pick a franchise. You get any player who appeared in at least one game on that team in those years (http://baseball-reference.com/), any year of that player that you like. No clones. You get to keep your franchise every year till 2010.

2.) Your $200K guys can be from any year in the history of that franchise. Make sure it's the correct franchise(http://baseball-reference.com/).

3.) You must use the stadium from your franchise/year.


4.) You get $100mil to make your team

5.) 50 game SLL min for playoffs.

6.) No DH.

7.) 6/2 Average AAA

8.) Trades allowed

9.)  Playoffs must be played live


* To 'twist' means to choose from any season of a particular player. For example say you select the Giants for 1999-01, you can choose any year of any of those players that you want.

* Each owner can select up to two franchises. They will be placed in seperate conferences. But you can select whichever 2 you want, regardless of which conference they are in as far as the current MLB is formatted.

* You must us actual franchise name.

Well, there we have it.  Those are the owners that have officially returned in this league, so there are some new teams open!

I'll be keeping Boston.  I will figure out a way for the games to be played....looking for a good guy on this site who wouldn't mind using my handle.  Never used ti be a problem as about half a dozen college guys would use the immortal arvidjosef, now I am just left..

As stated in the other thread, playoffs now are required to be played live.  Also, any interest in lowing the min. to 50?
