For one-a-day worlds, how about moving the second exhibition game from the afternoon to the overnight slot?  Then you would have a full day to plan for your first real game, instead of just half a day.  (You would only have half a day to plan for the second exhibition, but who cares about that...)

Also it would be nice to move the first exhibition game back, so we have more than half a day to set up practice plans and player game plans for newly recruited freshman. For PST, it can be hard to get to a computer between when the season begins and the freshmen are enrolled around midnight or so, and the first exhibition game/first practice at 11 am. Why not just make them night games like all the rest?

They used to have them be night games -- but the first one would happen the same night as freshman reporting and you couldn't do any planning whatsoever.  So, be careful what you wish for.
