distro or play distribution refers to how often each player is taking shots, if you want a player to take more shots you can up his distribution #

It's a link under 'office'.  Once there you can also set your 3-pt shooting.....  -2 almost never attempts a shot.   +2 fires it up almost every time.  Most coaches set their C/PF at -2.  The SF and guards vary but a +2 setting is used infrequently

Should the total of distro add up to 100 for the whole team?

it doesn't have to add up to 100.   For instance, If you have  a player set for 20 and the other 4 starters at 5 each,  for a total of 40, your main guy will get approximately 1/2 of the touches
