I'd like to propose a very minor change.

When searching for available coaches for a particular level, I'd like to see everybody who is looking for a position not only at that level but also below that level.

For example, if I do a search for AA hitting coaches, I want to see all coaches who are looking for a HC position not only at AA but also at HiA, LoA and RL.  Those lower guys will always accept a promotion if offered one.

I know I can do this now by just selecting level "All", but I have to sift through all the higher level coaches who generally will not accept a demotion if offered.  By making the change I propose, it makes the results of the search a little less cluttered.

Also: I'd like the default for the "Coach List" pulldown to be "Available Coaches" rather than "Previous Coaches".  A minor thing, but it's annoying to have to change this every time I go to the page.

After an endorsement from DIAH, I have to question what the flaw must be in my idea and reconsider.

Your flaw is being born. But this is a great idea.

Bumping this up.

Bumping, again.

Or, as an alternative, just eliminate unemployed coaches salary, role and level demands after the rehire phase has completed.  Let the world sort the coaches out through the hiring process.  (I believe this was a MikeT23 suggestion).

Coach hiring sux. Worst part of the game. This would probably be an improvement, but not much on its own.

Better idea would be make coaching a budgeted amount like scouting.

Or remove levels from coaches decision making. Let the market decide rolls & levels. Allow a coach to accept more money to coach at a lower level. I know I'd drop from ML to AAA or AAA to AA for a season for a few extra hundred thousand dollars.

Not a big deal, but I'd vote no for this, tec. Looking for coaches at other levels is one advantage owners have over those who are more, uh, passive. It takes a little more time, therefore a little more work, to look at other levels, and most owners are just not going to do it.
