Ahhh thanks...I think they should include the year, just so it's more clear.  Currently it makes it seem like there are 2 separate probatory periods.

or one could have the probation say "on probation through the 6th day of September in the year of our lord 2010, the second year of the presidency of Barrack Obama and the 11th year of the 21st century" or something else catchy like that

It needs the year, because having a real date for probation is a bit misleading because IRL, teams don't get put on probation for half a season or what have you...they get put on probation for 1 season, 2 seasons, 3 seasons...etc...you don't get off of probation in mid-season, at least never that I can remember.  It isn't as clear as you all are suggesting, for the reasons I retorted with.

If it read 9/6/10...or the first time I saw it 7/1/10...I never make this thread.

I asked a question, weena answered it, I thanked him and told him how it could be more clear...and I'm wrong somehow?  I was seeking information.  You want to call me stupid/an idiot because I didn't recognize a date because A. It didn't have the year attached and B. IRL probation doesn't end mid-season?  Fine, I guess...but tell me my argument isn't valid.  Instead of calling me an idiot, why not attempt to understand how/why I could misread that, take into account my HD experience as well.  Of course I didn't know the answer to my question, that's why I asked.  Certainly it made sense after weena answered it, but it could be clearer...that's all my point is.  If you want to nitpick my "annoyance factor"...keep at it.  I admitted that I didn't know it was a/the date, what more do you want from me?

Probation ends mid-season because, as of now, there's no in-season recruiting so it doesn't really matter when it ends. They probably just want to make sure you have plenty of time to know you are off probation as you are setting up your recruiting lists.

At least we're American, otherwise it could be June 9, and you would be waiting almost a full year. I guess that part could be confusing to WIS's international customers, but thinking it could be Sep 6, 2011 or later is kind of silly.
For Tark wouldn't that be like 8-10 seasons?

Seriously dude, this was the time to say "doh, should have figured that one out.  Moron moment."  Trying to cover your *** just made you sound stupid...
Didn't you get the "DOH" when he said, "Ahhh"
