I know this post will make me sound like an idiot, and I am in fact an idiot. But I'm not sure I am the only one who has done this on occasion. Occasionally I make a waiver claim and then regret it. I'd love it if we could opt out of our claim within 24 hours or whatever. I'm not sure if that mirrors reality at all. In other words I'm not sure you can go to the league office and tell them, "I decided I don't want Jones, let someone else have him."
But occasionally I tend to get excited when I look at the waiver board and make a decision before I thoroughly think it through. Then I figure out later I claimed a guy who I should not have claimed.
Like I said, I know darn well this makes me an idiot. But I'm sure I am not the only one who has done this. I pull free agent bids all the time and pull trade proposals just minutes after I submit them on occasion. But once I hit that claim button on the waiver page there is no turning back.
The obvious solution for me is to analyze more thoroughly before I make a decision. But then again I would bet there are hundreds of people playing this game who have done the same thing. The thought of instant gratification sometimes overpowers the necessity for rational thought.
