i have an idea for a progressive, don't know how to make it work, if someone can, i'd be willing to play or run if i can get some help fleshing out the idea to make a balanced league.
there's been a lot of guys in major league history who do to some unfortunate circumstances, never got to have real careers. guys who got injured (herb score) guys who went to war and came back different (cecil travis) guys who died young (lyman bostock, steve olin, ken hubbs) and i thought it might be fun to see what would happen if these guys got real careers.
my idea was that each of these players, (and a brightline would have to be created to determine who counts, maybe 5 or less years pre-tragedy?) would start with what they had already done and then the league would go a set number of years, assuming each of these guys would wind up playing like 15 or so years where their teammates would advance each year, traditional progressive style, but the "franchise player" would not, instead the controlling player would get to pick his years.
lets answer the questions that we don't get to know...
