In this World, the following trade was just nullified:
I was to get Junior Gabriel (http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=3440977) and $200,000.
I was to send Fred Lawrence (http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=3439611).
The nullification message says:
"This is to inform you that the proposed player trade between Minnesota L'étoile du Nord and Atlanta Jets was cancelled. It is after the Transaction Deadline and one or more players has not cleared Waivers. TRADE FAILED."
A few days prior, on 8/13/2010 at 3:55 AM, I got this message:
"Your franchise was awarded the waiver claim for Junior Gabriel, but his franchise chose to pull him back since it's after the transaction deadline. While you don't receive the player, you are the only franchise that is able to trade for this player the remainder of the season."
The player I was sending is a minor league player with one year of experience who is not on the 40-man roster.
I believe that the trade should have been completed. Thanks for your help. |

As best I can tell, this is what happened:
8/11/2010 8:58 PM -
Junior Gabriel is (perhaps?) designated for assignment with revocable waivers.
8/13/2010 3:55 AM - My claim for Junior Gabriel is processed and he is pulled back by his original owner.
8/13/2010 5:38 PM - Junior Gabriel is assigned to the ML team of his original owner. This seems to have re-set his waiver status because...
8/16 - After a couple Trade Chats, original owner and I reach an agreement for Gabriel, which is nullified - presumably based on his waiver status being
none instead of
not cleared.
8/17/2010 5:35 PM - Original owner places Gabriel on (revocable) waivers. This time I am not awarded the claim, but someone else is and he is pulled back. His status now again is
not cleared.
This isn't how it is supposed to work, is it?
And please don't suggest sending a ticket. As you can see above, I have already done so and haven't heard anything from CS in a week of stretch run games (great job guys).
