i have 2 pc that want the job one has a pc of 88 and wants 2.8 mil and is 58 yrs. old the  other has pc of 83  is 35 yrs. old and wants 1.8. here are there other ratings.

obviously the first guy has better pc but does strategy,discipline and patience make up for anything on the 2nd guy?

2, and it's not close. Patience is very important. Plus, he's young, so he'll gain points between seasons (to maybe a P of 86), and with a loyalty of 65 stands a decent chance of re-signing.

5 points difference in PC is fairly meaningless too.

Not to mention the $1m you save with #2.  To be fair though, #1 still has a 78% chance of returning next year, versus 82.5% for #2.  That's not a huge difference.

I always go for higher strategy guys. Five points difference in pitching skill isn't enough to keep me from picking #2.

Plus, #1's patience and discipline are awful.
