I'll try not to editorialize too much,. Here is a breakdown of D1 Allen World after the rollover. 105 of the 288 coaching jobs are filled (36%). Of those 105 coaches, 66 are in the top tier conferences (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big 10, Pac 10, SEC) for 92%. This means that there are 39 coaches for the remaining 216 colleges (18%). This is a disaster. I've been tracking these numbers for the past 3 seasons, and the drop out rate of coaches is accelerating. Given the increased disparity in recruits, it appears coaches are giving up. If FoxSports and WIS do not address the core issue, this sim is in real trouble.

There are actually 324 D1 schools in HD, so the percentages are going to be even worse, right?  My calculator says 105/324 is 32.4% for total jobs and 39/252 for non-BCS jobs is 15.4%.  Ouch.........

never having played in D1 i'm having to guess at the problem. are people really mad that witchitaw state can't get the same caliber of recruits as duke gets?
