Before this past season, I posted a question about which of these guys I should promote to my MLB LF job.
JosiasTerrero or
WilfredoHernandez ?
Some guys suggested Terrero, others Hernandez and some
JuanCabrera who had a great AAA year hitting .361.
I loved his good power/great speed combo so I went with Terrero and he responded with a Rookie of the Year/Gold Glove season. He hit .300 with 33 homers and 75 x-base hits. Stikes out a ton, but has good power, great speed and a developing glove. He projects to 82-82 range/glove but I don't think he'll quite get there.
Anyway, my 1B in MLB hit .314 with a .400+ OBP, but his 15 HR's were a career high (power 48) as were his 40 x-base hits. And I think he's about to get significantly more expensive through Arb. I can afford him, but I'm not sure I didn't just get his best season out of him and I wouldn't mind a bit more pop there..
Hernandez with OF defensive #'s would be a great defensive 1B (my current guy isn't) and will start the year with offensive numbers of 51-81-60-52-81. He's maxed out at everything but power and eye..but he will eventually reach his 83-87 ceiliings there because he's a 98-100 Make-up guy.
I save $5M or so going with Hernandez.
Anyway...What kind of offensive numbers for a full MLB season would you expect from a 51-81-60-52-81 guy?
