Question about the WW Topic

I'm in an open league and i see an owner used the waiver wire constantly is there a strategy to do that.  I know some people dump stuff at the end of the year but like 20 transaction immediately seems weird

If the league just  started then I'd guess it is either a newer owner that really doesn't know what they're doing, or an owner that accidentally entered a theme or progressive team into a OL and didn't catch it until it was too late to pull the team.

I've done the latter before and put a $36m progressive team in rebuilding mode into an OL and hit the WW hard to try to get my team at least marginally competitive. We ended up winning seventy-some games and finishing second in a weak division, but we never really had a chance.

I can't imagine anything other than what just4me suggests... when I first started, I over used the waiver wire to "fix unfixable" teams. It took me awhile to learn (1) patience and (2) that paying the 10% premium for using the waiver wire was a great way to make your team worse off than it started. That's not to say a judicious move or two isn't smart. Sometimes you can upgrade a position, especially if you've been lucky enough to get a good blind draw of a usuable AAA player or two. of course all players should dump their $200k guys and pick up some sort of bench player or low inning RP to help the team once a season starts.
