Better defender at 2B or 3B? Topic

Would you rather have your better defensive player at 2B or 3B?
 
I have 2 guys Carlos Moreno and Stretch Wilson both better suited to play 3B.
 
I got to thinking maybe it would be better for Moreno at 3B because he is better there than Wilson.
 
Both guys are a few points off from meeting the 80 suggested range for 2B.
 
Moreno won the 2B GG 2 seasons ago, so he can play 2B with no problem.

Opinions? Also, I have a bunch of seasons played with some good success but WTF is range factor? Is lower better?

Range Factor is a Bill James stat, designed to measure fielding.

It's calculated as (putouts+assists)/games or 9*(putouts+assists)/innings, with the latter sometimes called RF/9.

Simply, it's a measure of the number of plays a player makes, either per game or per 9 innings played in the field.

And, FWIW, I'd have Moreno at 2B and Wilson at 3B if those were my only options for those 2 spots.

I'd take Moreno's better glove at 2B.  Range factor = (putouts + assists) / games played at a position.

Moreno's gold glove in season 15 is mostly attributed to the fine coaching he recieved in season 14.

I'd put him at 2nd base.
