Dont include the record in owners history if he takes the team over after the all-star break.

I wouldn't include the record of anyone who takes a team after the season STARTED.  He has no control over what mess he was left.

Any owner who takes over an abandoned team now
1. Enjoys the challenge and doesn't care about the hit to his overall record, mainly because the chicks still dig him anyway.
2. Has an alias that handles it.

Either way, the person that takes over the team probably cares about getting the team back in shape.

If you open the door and say "it won't affect your record", everybody will be stumbling over each other for the $4 and may not necessarily have the best interest of the franchise in mind.

When you take over a team as a mid-season replacement owner, you are specifically "warned" that you are accepting the team into your history.

I really dont have a problem one way or the other with it. It is just that commishes use your history to determine if you are worthy of their world. If you have a 57-105 record on there, it appears that you could have tanked. I would like an asterisk or something.

A good commish will ask for an explanation.
