I am the coach of Mt. St. Vincent in d3 in smith world.  I thought I had a decent class but they ended up being ranked 21st overall.  Should I be excited about this class or are they a bit overratted.  Also does anyone have any input on things I did right and wrong.  Any input is appreciated I have a 6 player class coming up.

The class rankings are based on an unknown formula.  But three things hold true:  1) large classes generally rank higher than small ones: 2) JUCOs and transfers are rated equally to true freshmen; 3) walkons count as 'recruits' and drag down your ranking.

You had a 5-man class, with one sophomore and no walkons. 

In my opinion, the rankings are for bragging rights and don't necessarily translate to championships. Still, it's nice to be recognized. Congratulations!

That's a pretty solid class. The nice thing about 5+ man recruiting classes is you can sign your starting five for down the road and make sure they complement each other.

Foote is the only recruit I would have avoided. You play Man to Man and his 14 defense makes him vulnerable. Normally I'd only sign a kid with 14 defense in that situation is if he had good core ratings elsewhere (he doesn't) or if he has high potential
