... giving me a few words of advice/evaluation on this recruiting class.  It's my first class at a D2 school.  I decided to start my D2 experience in a full conference in Hawaii, so I may have really put myself up against it here...  Anyway, these are my guys and I'd like  a few thoughts.  Don't have time to upload them to use as images so I just put them in a public facebook album...

Williams is obviously the prize of the group; I spent over $13000 to get him, but he looks like a really good player to me.  When a guy that good showed up in Hawaii as a starting D2 recruit, I had to get him.

These guys are great examples of the recruits in the new engine.  You used to be able to find D2 guys that had really good overall ratings.  Now it seems that all guys have holes and you have to decide if their high potential areas will fit in your system.  I like these guys.  Williams is definately the top dog for you and could turn out to be a really good D2 player.   Focus on getting more guys like him and you will have success.

Williams will be a stud, the other two are both quite solid. You did a really good job on your first DII class.

I was actually hoping to sign 2 bigs.  I had given Teske 1 HV and a scholarship offer early in recruiting and forgot about him and BOOM, he signed.  Not really a problem, though.  I need a backup PG for this season and I can now let Teske be that guy and redshirt Williams.

Just curiosity, but what are the respective work ethics?

That's actually the big problem with Teske.  His WE is quite low, I think 6 or 7.  Didn't notice that when I threw a few bucks at him.  Should have taken the offer off but, again, I forgot about it.  Particularly given how low his starting ratings are it could be a big problem.  I'll try to get him some PT this season and if he doesn't get up to at least 15 or 16 I may cut him next year.  Williams is good but not great, mid-40s.  I think Hamilton is fairly high, 60s or 70s.

Teske - 6; Williams - 43; Hamilton - 68

Might be for the best;  let him be the backup for a season and see if the PT improves his WE at all and then if it doesn't let the axe fall.  With that low of a we, I wouldn't be optimistic.  WIlliams shoudl be great though>  40 is plenty high to get there over four(Or five if redshirted) years.

Yeah>  I've done that a coulpe of times.  One player I ended up keeping the other I dumped.  THe one, at d3, was, as it stood, a somewhat one dimensional but reliably efficient scorer so he had a place on the team until he graduated even if he didn't improve that much>  The other. . hit the scrapheap hard,
