Owners should be able to download all player data from their entire world with one button press in a tab-delimited format.  Including all data ratings (bunt, pull, etc.).  If including projections in this data would be problematic (to avoid ease of potential sharing with "aliases") then don't include it. 

But all current data would really be helpful.

I know that WiS has said in the past that they have intellectual property concerns about giving away that much data in such an easy manner.  In other words, a lot of the value of the game is all the ratings, and if you could dump out the universe of ratings for the world, it would go a long way to reverse enginerring the engine

It isn't my place to comment on how likely that is or not, but it is a legit business reason for not providing something that clearly would be both easy to implement and a valuable tool for onwers

I see what you're saying.  I was thinking that, by just offering the current ratings, you are not giving away anything that can't be obtained by other means, and you're not giving away any proprietary algorithmic data or formulas.  You could also avoid giving out stats, if correlation is a concern.

WIS has stated on multiple occasions in the past they they would be reluctant to do anything like what you're proposing because it could give an unfair advantage to those users who were more computer savvy than others.

You could make an argument that it's more of an advantage now for savvy data users, because of the multiple steps required to pull data down, along with using VLOOKUP or other means to combine data from different pages.  By allowing a data dump of current world ratings, it would make it easier for those less savvy to meaningfully manipulate the data, in some ways creating a more level playing field.

I think that WIS's position is that while they can't prevent savvy users from doing what you just said, they're not going to be a party in helping them to do it.

This is too similar to the request folks have for draft prospect data to be downloaded to a spreadsheet where the prospects can be mass ranked, and then uploaded back to the site.
