I was thinking that the game just doesn't seem complicated enough, so what about adding in the Super 2 arbitration rule? Every year in MLB the top 17% (in terms of ML serivce time) of players that have between 2 and 3 years of ML service time are eligible for an additional year of arbitration, giving them 4 years of arby instead of 3. This year in MLB, the cutoff is 122 days of ML service time, so all players with 2 years and 122 days of ML service time or more are arbitration eligible this year instead of next.
