I recently had a sophomore transfer away from my team because of low playing time.  But since i graduated every other player at his position I'd love to have him back.  Is it possible to recruit him like any other transfer and get him back?  Am I at an advantage because of past recruiting effort?  A disadvantage because he's angry about playing time?

Can't say definitively, but I imagine you'll never get him to consider you.  Once, on a lark, I cut a guy, then tried to re-recruit him with some extra money I had.  It was akin to trying to recruit a 5-star recruit as a D3 school.

now, I cant say that I know about 100 times people have tried - lets say three or four - and the kids have not responded to any efforts - for all we know one in ten or one in 100 might respond to 20 evals or something
