What is up with no longer allowing us to re-sign minor league free agents on resignb free agent day? Can someone explain the logic of that change to me?

I'm positively thrilled to know how the Top Tools are in all my worlds!

Maybe he means you can't simply keep minor league guys in AAA for their entire career...someone can sign them to ML deals if they feel it'll help their team.

I thought we had already decided you were the Top Toolin all of WIS.

People are already barely fuilling their minor league rosters as is. By not letting you resign your own minor league free agents, I see even more incomplete minor league rosters likely.

This is my favorite change:
Pitchers can longer have their positions changed from the GMs Office or the Player Settings pages.

so, you can change their positions, it just takes longer.

I've never had an issue filling out my minor league rosters.  I like the idea of letting everyone who could be in the major leagues actually make it if someone else in the league values them enough.

I hardly ever sign my minor league FAs anyway, and I have no problem filling out my minor leagues.  If they've been in the system for 6 years, and are not on the 40, what use are they besides filler?  Maybe people have trouble filling their minor leagues because too many people have been able to just bring back their own filler, so there is never enough available on the market.

The fact is that in most decent world all minor league position players get signed by a few weeks into the season to fill out rosters. I dont think making them have to be resigned in normal free agency corrects that problem - I think adding tryout camp position players fixes it.

I think this will create many more problem than it solves.   Before, a owner could refill there minors in one day.  Now it will require four plus days of attention and a lot more work.  I dont see how making it harder to fill out the minor leagues helps anyone.  I dont have a problem with potential big leaguers waiting for FA, but, journeymen types (who arent on the 40 man) should resign immediately. 

I agree with new - the players available to be resigned are almost always crappy players, so the odds of there being a bidding war is very low.  Putting them in regular free agency just means that the teams that lose most of the milb contact tiebreakers will have to spend quite a bit more time searching for filler.

The change seems realistic and logical. What player who's been stuck in the minors for six years is going to jump at the chance to sign up for another season with the franchise that obviously doesn't need him?

I'm not saying it's logical, but it makes the game better.  Free agency should not be spent bidding on dozens of minor league crap so you can field a full team at each level.  Like I said, all the resignable players are usually quite bad - the decent ones refuse to resign and demand MLB contracts, as it should be.
