Playing Time - Fatigue or Minutes? Topic

What do you prefer? What works best?

fatigue is almost always better - avoids leaving guys out there who are beyond their stamina

if you have made promises, you should be able to adjust settings and depth chart to keep them, but if it doesnt work sometimes minutes targets need to be used

I agree. Lets say for example that you have a freshman to whom you have promised 15 mins. He is your fifth best guard. You begin by having him third on the depth chart at both guard slots. Everyone at fairly fresh, say. He gets 10 mins in the exhibitions. So, you can try kicking him up to tired. Maybe that gets him 15 mins - all this will depend on the stamina of the other players, the pace of the game, whether it is a blowout, etc. If that doesnt get him his 15, maybe you put him second on the depth chart at one position, but shift him down to fairly fresh.....after a while you will learn to shift around and adjust.....
