"We are no longer maintaining view settings..." Topic

One of the new update changes:

"We are no longer maintaining view settings when you change worlds. If you use the world selection drop down to change worlds all of your view settings will now be reset."

is extremely annoying and, as far as I can tell, adds nothing to the game. Anyone else find this to be a negative change?

An example of what is annoying: I have a team that is in preseason, during budget setting. Every time I go to check my rosters, it defaults back to "Spring Training Stats". First, there ARE no ST stats yet. Second, I'm not going there to check them, NOR WILL I EVER. I'm going there to study the roster and figure out what moves I might want to make. So, every time, I have to go to the top and select the current or projected ratings view. Not a huge deal, but annoying and completely unnecessary.

The only place I want to see default spring training stats is in the lineups and pitching staff screens during ST, but it seems those always default at regular season stats.

I'm fine with the changes the way they are.  I didn't even notice until this thread pointed it out.

I liked it, it means when i look at RL in one league, im not forced to look at RL when i change worlds, which i found far more annoying.. As far as i can see the default view, is Regular Season Stats, unless perhaps in you're in ST, to me its an improvement.

I complained about this years ago. When I change from a world that is in season 14 to a world that is in season 18, I don't want to see season 14 in that world. I like the change.

Maybe world in preseason stages should default to current ratings rather than spring training stats. As shobob pointed out above, the only place I want to see ST stats is in the lineups and pitching rotations during actual ST play.

I like not being in the wrong season or level when I switch worlds, but I have certain screens I prefer to be on as my default (example: I prefer Current Ratings on the GM screen, not Stats). It is not a big deal, but maybe a way we can choose which default screen we get would be nice.

This only affects when you change worlds using the world drop down. It has no affect while you are navigating around your current world.

Agreed, on the GM page I like to see the current ratings, not the stats. I can get the stats from my lineup screen...
