Just wondering, do occasional 'diamonds in the rough' blossom out of signing some stiff off the tryout camp report?

Tryout Camp's only purpose is filling out minor league rosters to avoid pitching fatigue. A player would probably need two DITR boosts and incredible development to have a shot at being a AAAA player.

No, can't find him.

And, I think I'm remembering the scenario now; drafted by another team, unsigned. He hit the minor league FA, I signed to fill out a rookie league roster. He got a DITR bump that made him borderline ML.

I remember that he was a reliever, but can't retrieve the name or the season.

Here's one that falls under death's category(actually drafted by death/signed by me).   Got a DITR bump and became one of those big bat/good eye with borderline splits players.   I just couldn't get him any BL AB.

I left due to sickness. You got sick of me, I got sick of you.

There have been 2 or 3 where I went with results over ratings. Was not unhappy with him for a season or 2.

Funny that his ML stats are far superior to his minor league stats.

Not so much that he was used in the BL, I was willing to let it slide because, quite frankly, I didn't want to lose mitch in MG.  However, a certain someone wouldn't STFU about the guy and insisted on defending his use as "no big deal".
