I need some advice.

I like my Rutgers team a lot.  But there is one of the teams that I've always wanted in a Big Six conference open right now, and I'm qualified for but its a step down prestige and talent wise right now(although baseline is higher).   But I've always been in the NE for recruiting purposes and I'm worried about the learning curve of going to be for a different part of the country now that it seems like I've got recruiting the NE down.  I'm not sure I want to go back to rebuilding.

My own personal rule of thumb for moving up is that the new school needs to be at least two-thirds of a letter grade higher baseline prestige than my current school, and ideally the new school should have a baseline prestige in the top half of their league. Yes, you'll be starting over, but In the long run, baseline prestige makes a big difference. So if I were in your shoes at Rutgers, I would move up as long as the new school had a baseline prestige of at least a B+, excluding Virginia in the ACC.

A) stay
B) go
C) stay (or go) but add another team!

Choose C.
