I have two D3 teams that have been traditionally very good -- each with two Elite Eight trips in the past four seasons.  Both teams have a class which has about 5 players, so my teams have been best when those players are seniors and slightly less so when they are freshmen, which is to be expected.

For example, one my large classes at SUNY-Cortland went 23-7 with a 50 RPI as freshmen, but 32-1 and an RPI of 2 as seniors. So when they graduated, I expected to go back down to being a 20ish win team, 50-75 RPI, etc. Instead, I went 13-16, RPI 187. I didn't recruit any differently than in the past and had a pretty decent recruiting class (had to take 1 walk on), but was a bad team for most of the year. The same thing is happening to me at Maranatha Baptist. I'm 1-5 so far and not especially competitive, despite landing a pretty good recruiting class.

At first I thought it was just me, but my next game at MB is against pittsdoc, who is coaching a team with A+ prestige and is 0-6.

My question is what changed in the latest update to make freshmen-heavy teams so uncompetitive? I don't expect a team with 5 freshmen to win the national title, but it seems like such a drastic change.

you just scared me.  I have an A+ prestige that just replaced 6 seniors with 4 frosh and 2 soph transfers...all of whom will be learning new IQs :(
