I've made a couple of trades before spring training and have a number of players that I assigned to AAA who will be promoted to the Majors before the season starts but I need to demote some players first. Right now I'm stuck between demoting a proven ML contributor (backup) who will be gone next season or a pospect who will likely become a utility player next saeson but would like to know if there is a best time to do this. Is it better to do it before spring training or after? Does it matter?
