Bringing up a player too early stunt improvement? Topic

Will i stunt player improvement if I bring a player to early to the majors?  He is good enough to play at the ML level now and play pretty well but I don't absolutely need him and don't want to stunt his improvement.

If he plays at the BL level, his growth will not be stunted.   if you sit him on the bench, it will.

He will develop just fine at the major league level provided he is getting regular playing time. 

If you plan to platoon him or use him for occasional pinch-hitting duty in the majors, then he probably would be better off as an everyday player in the minors.

No reason to think his splits and contact won't keep developing.  They show no sign of slowing down.

Brought up midway thru his 2nd full season.   Pitched in the bigs his entire 3rd season.
