When does a team expire due to not having additional seasons? I have a team that I want to keep but would like to have all my NT finish first, so I can see if I can get enough credits for a 10 pack. The team in question is Ripon in Rupp. Will I receive the credits in Rupp first, before my team expire, or do they occur simultaneously.

You have until 11:59 p.m. after the last game to renew. You get the credits at midnight, so to speak, so they happen simultaneously. You will lose the team if you don't renew first.
Tark just turned over, and I checked my account to see that I got my credits at 12 midnight.

Oh, and the team doesn't expire, the coach does. 

but I don't think its a big deal - didn't they change it so that if a coach forgets to renew he can get it right back during the jobs period? I've never done it...

Not sure I'd want to coach a bunch of dead players.

No, they don't happen simultaneously. Let's say the championship game is Sun night/Mon morning, you'd get your additional rewards points on Mon morning shortly after the title game, and you have until midnight on Mon night/Tue morning to renew. So you can do that without a problem.

Yes ... except it doesn't apply if someone else has already applied for the job. And if it's an attractive job, odds are that someone else has already applied.

So there is a 24h gap between credit being given and "coach expiring?" am I correct girt?
