IRL where do you think a team that is 27-2, 2-1 vs the top 25, on a 16 game winning streak with an RPI of 14 would be seeded in the NT? That resume just got me a 4 seed...wtf?

Based on RPI alone, the 4 seed is correct. But the rest of your resume, plus your #1 ranking, should've pulled you up to at least at 2 seed

I think this issue is, for you to have a higher seed, you have to move someone else down.  Who gets moved down, and why?
