Hey gang!
Figured I could use this forum in a positive manner to help Progressive Commisioners find reliable replacements for owners who bail on progressives. I currently run five progressives (and have created 143 leagues) and I’ve decided to list  owners who have been affiliated with them. You’ll notice I prefer Progs with less than 24 owners I feel this has helped make them more appealing when we lose an owner. New owners have an easier time rebuilding a franchise.

Here is a short synopsis of my Progressives
Sandlot Progressive (12 teams, 2 divisions) We began in 1998 to see what the majors would be like with modern players and 12 teams. $120mil cap each team has access to 30 players. We are currently drafting for 2010 and we will be trying to keep most of the owners together and move to 1970 when we finish next season.

Larry Doby Progressive (16 teams, 4 divisions) We began in 1947 and we are in 1955. 25 man rosters with 7 200K aaa spots.

Rico Carty Progressive (16 teams, 4 divisions) The original 16 owners each selected one of the first 16 MLB franchises. The nominated 30 players from their franchise and kept the majority of them. The unprotected nominees went into an initial draft. Each draft since has utilized expansion teams in order they joined league. We are currently in our fifth season.

Mike Tyson Grapefruit Punchout Progressive (16 teams, 4 divisions) Original owners nominated players from 3 categories: HOFers, current players, and retired non-HOFers. Teams are comprised of those players. Each season 3 new seasons are nominated and we draft first year players who are not in the league already. We are currently drafting for our fourth season.

Jamie Moyer Birdpants Progressive (16 teams, 4 divisions)
Each team nominated a franchise team season ex. 1969 Balt O's & then nominated three random players from baseball history. initial draft 4 rds to draft three players plus stadium. 20 keepers each season and 6 round draft. EACH TEAM MUST HAVE JAMIE MOYER ON THEIR TEAM. we follow his career. prize money rewarded by alltime moyer win totals. ALSO each season new realignment based on salary upon entry into season. Top four in ALE, 2nd 4 in NLE, Next 4 in ALW, bottom 4 in NLW. all 2nd place teams nominate a team season to use for upcoming draft.

I do not use any formulas for draft order however most leagues have a 48 win minimum and failure to reach lowers 1st rd draft pick. At 120 game mark a lottery is held in most of these progs.
