Recruiting Core Ratings Topic

It's been awhile since I have coached in DIII  and I am thinking about taking over a team in Knight with 11 schollies. I was simply wondering what an average recruit's core ratings should look like, and since I will be bringing in virtually an all freshman team, should I look for anything specific in a recruit? Any input is appreciated.

you wont have all freshman, there's a 6 person per class limit.  if you have 11 schollies, prepare for alot of walkons or get some transfers and jucos

Look more at what their ratings will be as juniors and seniors more than what they'll be as freshmen

After recruiting begins, you have to call the player or coach  once in order to get them added to your watch list...will cost you $10

Try clearing your cookies.  That sometimes causes problems negotiating through WIS

isles911, I found that DEF is about non-existent in DIII.  That is expecially true if you want a player with any other attributes.  I tend to look for ATH in all of the players and then find the best skills I can.  However if I can find a guy with 70+ in LP then I tend to jump on them if they have any ATH (30) and SPD (20) for a post player.  It had been a couple of years since I had tried the DIII level and most the successful teams seem to get drop downs.  Try to go after DII guys within 70 miles of your place especially if they don't get courted early.

I would only recruit senior transfers in addition to the 6 freshman. And also start your freshman so they progress faster. Even if your first season suffers for it.
