Stuck at zero energy?? Topic

Why would a player stay pegged at zero energy for days on end?  I have a pitcher that doesnt have ridiculously low stamina or health, yet he is at 0 and holding....any reason for that?  I have had him on Rest for several days with no change.

This is quite common if you let a guy pitch several times after he's already hit 0 - he goes so far "below" 0 that it takes him days to even recover back to 0. How much longer it takes him to get back depends on how far he was buried and what his DUR is.

yeah, most likely you forgot to set pitch count and he threw too many pitchs in his outings. Or you forgot to set your pitching rotation and he threw too many games in a row. Depending on how over extended he is, it may take a long time for him to get back above 0.

He also may have played offense...and if he did he ain't coming back  this season...

I might even suggest he was forced to play a position because you didn't have enough position players.

Dammit.

So playing offense for a game or two means that a pitcher is so tired he can't pitch again for weeks?

That makes sense.  Brooks Kieschnick would be useless in this game!

It's a sim game.   It's designed for what one would call a "normal" roster.    If your pitcher is playing LF because you only have 7 position players, you get what you deserve.

I thought this thread was about me.

I guess I would just assume that having a godawful LFer would be enough punishment.

No, it's punishment for not filling out your minor league team.   There's no reason an owner shouldn't have 11-12 position players out of 35 spots.  But it happens.  You know why?  They don't sign draftees because they're saving that 18k in bonus money.

Thanks, this guy is on the big league roster, SUB, he has only thrown 4 innings, but maybe he got rocked unmercifully and threw so many pitches he is wiped, I will keep him at REST and see when he comes alive again.

If you link the player, it might help to figure out the problem.  4 innings isn't enough to kill a guy.

Something doesn't add up.  No one on his 3 rosters appears to have only thrown 4 innings at 0.
