Ok I sure this has been addressed on here many times but I have been gone from the game for over a year and returned to find that when my players play 20 minutes / game they are exhausted & I have lost a bunch of games down the stretch because my bench isn't deep & my bench players are playing.

Seems very unrealistic - It is not uncommon for college teams to have up to 5 players who play more than 25 minutes a game.

Can someone bring me up to speed on why this drastic move was made & how you coach effectively with stamina playing such a huge part of the game now?

Do players stamina max out?  Seems like if anything guys should continue to get in better shape if they are actually practicing?

The new engine makes avg stamina over 80 pretty much non-negotiable for running the press or else you get everyone waxed.  Gone are the days when hi ath/spd guys with marginal stamina can run the press.

Dont know if you are talking in general or specifics but your E Tenn St team runs FB offense and FCP defense so OF COURSE your are going to need high stamina guys to compete.

My teams generally run M2M defense with average staminas and I have no problem getting them 25+ mins per game. At slow down I can get that up to 30 MPG.

Mully's right -- you run fb/press, so that is going to be incredibly fatiguing.

You're still correct that starters don't generally play as many minutes as they do in real life. I actually really like this aspect of the game, as it makes depth and strategy much more important than just having a few good players, which pretty much anyone could accomplish. It's a bit different than real life, but in a very good way imho.

As I've said many a time.  Stamina is not the same thing as depth.  IRL teams have depth.  In HD the stamina levels of individual players are more critical than team depth.  IRL pundits talk about depth as being critical and nothing on the individual stamina levels of 22 YO college kids.  In HD we talk about stamina levels and very little on team depth.  You should be successful in HD with ample team depth.

Will it change,  Probably not.  Why? Because WIS doesn't hear too many complaints about it.  Why is that?  Two reasons.  Nobody gives a **** about the game any more, there are fewer users and those users are less passionate.  They accept what is--

Of course, the possibility that they just don't agree with you about it being a big problem isn't even possible, right?

You have 3 options, get a deeper bench (when I ran FCP back at Nazareth, I played a 10 man rotation and had everyone set to fairly fresh for fatigue), run the Slow Down (but with you playing FB it kind of sounds retarded and counter-productive), or change your offense (I personally would leave the Press alone, it still works in the new engine and it would be easier to switch your FB offense than the FCP defense.

why did you recruit lynch and Orzechowski? those two aren't d1 caliber players. you would've been better off with two walkons.
