I don't think it would necessarily work as an add-on to HD, since DI players are approaching max ratings by the end of their college careers. Players need to progress in the pros, too. It needs to be its own game.
And it would be awesome.
in real life, college seniors are very often seen as near their potential as it is.
what i think you do is, when a player goes pro, their skills have to "translate" to the pros. (for example, 40 ATH 50 LP translates to roughly 30 LP in the pros, 90 ATH 80 LP translates to in the ballpark of 75, etc.). scouting from the pro level becomes a matter of determining how the player translates, which is a product of their college ratings, ath and speed factored heavily, with personality and work ethic factoring in to 'new' potentials.
