Hypothetical question about Guards Topic

I've been rethinking the way I go about my recruiting based on some comments made by elite coaches on the forum. Basically I'm trying to sort out what I really need to be targeting in recruits.

Would you guys rather have a guard like this(as a junior/senior):

60 Ath
60 Spd
40 Per
40 BH
40 Pass

Or like this:

25-30 Ath
75 Spd
50 Per
70 BH
70 Pass

Sort of related to this question is how do you use a guard like the first player mentioned above? Is that a PG/SG? High distro or low? Obviously he's probably set to -2, but will the ath and spd allow him to score a ton of points without any per?

Yes, my bad. DIII.

i like to recruit high ath/spd guys, but in the example you list i would take the 2nd guy with so many other attributes being higher.

the def rating would be very important to me as well.  if the first guy had a 60 def and the 2nd guy had a 30 def or something like that it might make me reconsider.

the first guy for a SG or SF, the second guy for a PG, not close imo

(this assumes all things, work ethic, ft%, def, LP, are the same-- which they never are)

Depends on the system.  In any system the first guy at SF and the 2nd guy at PG.  In triangle or flex I take the 2nd guy at SG, in motion or fastbreak I take the 1st.

i'd take the first guy and plug him in at sf and let him shoot as much as he likes. and i wouldn't set him at -2.
