Like tianyi said you may not have to pull them down, sometimes you will and they will be open to efforts immediately. Also I think it's a bit retarded that guys who begin on the D1 list can end up going to a D3 school. A conference mate in one of my D3 conferences told me the 185th ranked C or something like that gave him the backup message.
Well the lowest D1 players are in the mid 400s, so it's not ridiculous in terms of this game. In real life, it would be very rare for a player that got looks from D1 schools to end up at D3.
That's not really true.
There are a lot of guys who end up playing D3 after getting looks from really low level D1 schools. For example, at one point in the MIAC in real life, there was something like 5 or 6 guys who had played D1 and transferred back within a five year period.
I think happens more often that you'd think in states like Wisconsin, where you have a bunch of good D3 programs and only one D2 school which is in one corner of the state.
